Estúdio Simbiose

The studio, led by Vinícius Schmidt, an architect and urban planner graduated from USU (2016) and postgraduate in furniture design from UEMG (2019), develops and produces furniture, lamps and objects, using traditional carpentry as the main means of production since 2018.

Currently, wood salvaged from old buildings in the city of Rio is the starting point for the work developed by Vinícius. Daily contact with the material, a sensitive eye for the subtleties of everyday life and the constant rescue of personal emotional memories are the spark for the creation of the pieces.

The entire process is carried out in-house, from the concept to the final product, adopting the on-demand production method to reduce excess and premature consumption of raw materials. Therefore, when you buy a product from the studio, that piece will be made for you.
